Radio One Established 1967というコンピアルバムを聞いた。
BBC Radio 1開局40周年記念コンピ。
1967年から2006年までの40年分、その年のヒット曲1曲を今の若い（多分概ね）アーティストがカヴァーする、という2枚組み全40曲、つまり参加アーティストも40組というもの。

ワタクシはもちろん、Keane の Under Pressure 目当てなワケですが、こっちはそりゃあもう正統派っていうか、かなりフレディっぽい歌い方でトムは歌うめぇな、と再確認。
実はまだ全部聞いてないんだけど、ちょろちょろ聞いた中では The View の Don't Look Back Into the Sun とかもすごいそのままで・・・完成度高いわけ。ほんとに Libertines 好きだったんだろうなぁっていうのがよくわかるのね。

で、最大にキたのがですね、Klaxons の No Diggity のカヴァー！
意外な組み合わせ、かつ、めちゃくちゃカッコイイ。
そこまでラップの部分は省いてるのでヒップホップぽくはないんだけど、私が持ってた Klaxons のイメージを覆したかも。大人びてるというかストイックというか。
変わったことはしてなくて、かなりオリジナルにそったカヴァー。
1996年だから個人的にはリアルタイムで聞いていたし最近の有名な曲、というイメージですが、知らない方のためにオリジナルはこちらでPV見れます。
